Please help me out with this one. I'm not looking for any Barry White or Sade style tunes. I'm also not looking at Nine Inch Nails for this either. I know there are people on both sides of the spectrum and I just don't see the wife getting down to Trent Reznor. I've heard Prince is good but don't really know where to start. Point me in the right direction and I think I can take it from there.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

i can't have sexxx with music in the background unless it's classical stuff. (beethovem, mozart, vivaldi, etc. no lyrics)

no matter how into the girl i am (no pun intended) rock songs are always a huge distraction for me.

I'd say Coltrane....there's a CD called "Coltrane for Lovers" that is good. Also, Playboy put out a Jazz set sometime ago.....I think it's called Playboy Jazz After Dark or something.

Jazz music in general is great background music for lovemaking.

Oh, the group Enigma also works.....

And I agree with brhf9 - rock songs provide too much distraction. I want to sing along and lose my concentration.

I actually have Playboy Jazz After Dark. Totally forgot about that one. One disc is music only and the other has singing. Very good stuff that really sets the mood. Also have Miles Davis Love Songs which is pretty good. I'm actually looking for something a little on the rock side here though. Thanks for the input even though a lot of it hasn't actually been serious.

i can definitely see that. i think coldplay and death cab for cutie could also work well in this sort of situation. coldplay worked for me this summer anyway.

My experience has been that Damien Rice, Keb' Mo', and the occasional Toad the Wet Sprocket albums are good choices.

But it kinda depends on what kind of lovemaking your doing. You know?
