Noel Gallagher 'attacked' at V fest!

  • That’s some scary shit. I can’t imagine how he was able to get that close.

He could have been seriously hurt had he hit his head on the speakers.

Completely agree with you. I'm indifferent about Oasis, but I do know one thing....there's no way in hell a fan should have been able to sneak up there and do something like that. Regardless of whether you love or hate the Galleghers, I can't imagine how every one would feel if this was a member of PJ. While I know I sound completely hypocritical here, I'm going to say it anyway....I hope they beat the living shit out of this guy backstage...and then I hope he gets some jail time with a huge ass fine.

I remember being completely shocked to hear about Dimebag Darrell (even though the security was likely less tighter at that particular event). What if this dude was a real psycho and did something more than push him off the stage? Sorry, kind of rambling on a bit.....there's just no excuse for this kind of shit....at the very least if you wanna fight somebody, have the balls to face them....

I absolutely agree, I'm not much of an Oasis fan either, but that sort of behaviour is absolutely inexcusable. And yeah, it could have been much worse. I would love to hear what this wanker's explanation is for why he did it.
  • I couldn’t tell you one Oasis song or the name of the band members – although I’m familiar with the Gallagher name, that’s about it.
I couldn't have told you their first names.

But that doesn’t mean anything, that could have had a much more severe outcome. Luckily, it appears he suffered only minor injuries.
Don't come closer or I'll have to go
  • Maybe if they weren't playing such faggoty music they wouldn't be attacked.

I like how the vocalist tries attacking the guy as he's being held by three other guys. It's just as bad as pushing somebody from behind. That's real tough.

I don't like Oasis AT ALL but c'mon... For the record, if somebody pushed my brother down like that on stage (and we are both in the same band), I'd have my bandmates hold him down while I stomped his nuts into oblivion. And then I'd drag him backstage and get serious about it.

Hmm, lovely homophobic slur there....maybe if the guy didn't like their music, he could have done what any normal person would have done and gone to the bar, or gone to watch a band on another stage.

Like eyedclaar said, if that was your brother being pushed to the floor for no good reason you would probably want to give them a slap too.

For the record, I didn't say anything about a slap...

hope Noel's not too badly hurt!
but i gotta admit when i read it I kinda laughed
how i imagined it was that they playing, playing, and randomly someone runs up, pushes him, runs off
...and then everybody was like WTF?!?!

    ha
but in all seriousness, hope he'll be ok
    oasis is a great band!

my first thought was "why couldn't it have been liam".

my second though was "i hope the guitar's ok".

noel probably thought the same things.
I have to say, I met Liam in Ottawa, I looked at him and he waved me over to say hi (this was during 'Don't Look Back In Anger', he was out near the crowd).. I went, shook his hand, patted him on the back and said 'Good show'.. he seemed very nice.

back in the day in vancouver they got coined offstage if i recall.

It's all good. And I think anyone who writes songs, has to respect Noel!

Coming from somebody who is trying way to hard to be politically correct? It's ok you can say what you feel.

What can I say? I am sweet and helpful to people everywhere, almost to a fault. I'm sure others here would agree. I'll try to be more forthright with my opinions in the future.

  • ok cool
  • Thanks to Kat for removing the disgusting posts that asshole made.
  • Calling people assholes is no better.

I'm pretty sure homosexuality is far more disgusting than those posts by the way.

It's text on a computer screen.

It's prejudiced and pathetic hate speech. Did you ever stop to think that there might be gay people on this board, reading the garbage you spew? It's called being a compassionate human being and it has nothng to do with polictical correctness. So get a life.
  • How do you know someone "snuck" up there.
At shows like this promoters give out passes to tons of people so that doucebag coulda been someone who had a backstage pass of some sort and ergo HAD access to the stage. Nobody could have known what he'd do.
Wonder what Noel said or did to him earlier in the evening (if anything) to provoke that.
I hope security roughed him up a bit on his way to jail.
I may not like all the shit that comes out of either of their mouths but I wouldn't wish physical harm on them.

  • What a fucking stupid idiot of a douche. Hope that guy got his ass kicked backstage. What a bullshit chicken shit thing to do.

I agree with those of you who posted above, luckily the injuries aren't too bad, but this is a very serious situation. If the guy had a knife or any kind of weapon, it could've been much worse. There's no way the guy should've been able to get on the stage like that.

Stupid tool, hope he serves time and gets ass raped in jail.
  • Fucking idiot for sure....I like Oasis...not my fav band but I like them but no matter what...even a band that I really don't like such as Nickelback I wouldn't want to wish physical harm on them....
What a loser....(most likely a suburban drunk/dope) hope he went to the downtown Jail in Toronto and got fucked around by the real "Cell mates" and got a good taste of it all
