I'm not sure it gets any better than this.....

Bask in the sublime awesomeness that is The Afghan Whigs! This song pretty much epitomises everything this band did so well; epic, anthemic, soulful rock music of the very highest order. Enjoy!

Absolutely. More people should know about this masterpiece.
dont think its really my thing :S
More people should know about Greg Dulli, end of story. Looking at his track record, the only album he's made since Gentlemen that I'm not a huge fan of is the first Twilight Singers album. Even Amber Headlights had some incredible stuff on it, and that was just unfinished stuffs.
Best live Faded ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eq9Dq1I1yM4
Dulli is charisma.
Go and wash your ears out young Edward! You should give the whole record (Black Love) a go, there's plenty of rocking stuff on there too.
Check out this song:

Any song that starts with the line "Got you where I want you muthafucker" is automatically cool! Even better in this video clip because they edit in an orgasmic moan instead of the word 'fucker'!
And yeah Rhino, that is a fucking wicked version of Faded.

"And when you say, now we got hell to pay
Don't worry baby that's okay... I know the boss..."
Now you're talking! Did you ever catch the whigs live? I saw them 3 times around the 1965 album, and they were ridiculously cool! Going To Town, in particular, was brilliant, the way it starts with the drum loop, then the guitars, and then finally that funky bass line - I swear they don't make them like they used to!
Nah, I only really got into them about a year ago, through the Twilight Singers. But since then it's been a hell of a ride going through their catalogue, and realising what I'd been missing out on. Apparently, they've been tagging Crime Scene Pt 1 into a few Gutter Twins setlists, so I'm still holding out hope for seeing some semblance of a live Twigs song.
WOAH! I would kill to see that song live....
for now we will have to make do with this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJpULEdRQRU
Nothing beats that first minute or so... Best build-up in a song I've ever heard, and that chorus might just be the best release. Why weren't the Twigs bigger than they were?
I think they were just a bit too unconventional for the average 'grunge' fan back in the 90's. I'm just not sure Dulli's tales of lust and sleaze were what people were looking for at the time! It certainly wasn't for lack of catchy songs. A few songs from the 1965 album were used on film soundtracks during the late 90's/early 00's, but then they broke up.

That might be the greatest video on Youtube. So. Fucking. Powerful.
 Have you heard Powder Burns by The Twilight Singers? That album is IMMENSE.
The song There Has Been An Accident is mind-blowing
saw it live the first time i saw the twilight singers in 2004. if it had gone on a minute longer i would happily have missed the last train home and spent the night on january glasgow streets.
'black love' is astonishing.. just incendiary... about the tightest most intense rock band performance i've ever heard... the guitars just explode against each other. and the songs...
this concert was my introduction to the whigs/dulli. i taped it off of german satelite tv around 2000.
my tape cut out about 3 seconds after the guitars on faded cut in... yet i STILL could tell it was one of the greatest songs ever!
its all the more beautiful being played outdoors on a late summer evening...
when i discovered youtube, this was probably the first thing i searched for.
You saw Faded live?
*seething with jealousy*
