Any fans out there? I know they suck now with their new lead singer, but the first two albums were awesome - Brett Scallions has an incredible voice. I just found this gem on youtube:

They weren't bad. I saw them a couple of times.
These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.

I used to like them after their first album, then after their second I slowly became less of a fan..and the trend continued after every album

I am a fan. I saw them with their new singer. Don't knock toryn if you have not seen him live. He's already in another band. Search on pollstar.com on fuel and you will see no shows planned for this concert season. I think they might have been dropped by their label. Check out their myspace, I think carl posted something.

I want to see brett with Riders (doors) before they all retire or die.

Pretty much the same here. I really liked the Sunburn album top to bottom and thought they were going to become a favorite of mine if they kept it up. I couldn't really get into Something Like Human and haven't really given any of their recent stuff a try. Honestly, I thought they broke up after Something Like Human.

I respect pretty much everyone's own musical taste (you guys included), but Something Like Human is one of the few CDs I ever just gave away. :p

I didn't even know their original singer left the band. Why did he leave?

Because he realized he was in Fuel. haha

He's the singer for The Doors now. for some reason.

Something Like Human is a very solid album actually, and whilst most of the similar post-grunge bands were just releasing the most commercial stuff they could come up with, Fuel actually went a lot heavier. Obviously the singles like Hemorrhage and Bad Day might not give you that impression, but songs like Down, Prove and Empty Spaces were great hard rock songs. Then there's the song Easy, which has the some of the best harmonies this side of an AIC song (well I think so anyway :p ) :

I liked Fuel for a few years. Then I gave the CD's to my mom. SHE still likes them!

They weren't too bad for mainstream rock.

I got their third album as a gift and I can honestly say that there was not one decent song on the entire thing. Something Like Human atleast had some catchy songs you could listen to, but the 3rd one was like someone wiped their ass on a piece of plastic, wrapped it and shipped it to record stores

Riders on the Storm- it's just Robby and Ray from the Doors. John said he would only come back to the group if they had someone like Eddie Vedder singing for them

Yeah it was a huge let down for me too. If you thought that one was bad, don't even bother with the latest one....seriously, it is one big steaming lump of turd.

That's interesting about The Doors. Seems like a strange partnership.
