    Forget Her or Satisfied Mind
..and you will come to find that we are all one mind, capable of all that's imagined and all conceivable

You can't spell "dumb" without DMB
  • 'Grace' or 'Forget Her'
'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'

    - the great Sir Leo Harrison
  • Odd choice really because it's not even one he wrote, but his version of Britten's "Corpus Christi Carol" still gives me goosebumps.

As far as Jeff originals go, Grace, Lover You Should've Come Over and Everybody Here Wants You, the latter being the sexiest song ever.

Hallelujah is more than mere music and infinitely better than any of the other versions, or indeed the original, but he didn't write it so I won't include it.
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"

Wow lots of different choices. Another one I really like is What Will You Say. Such a fucking shame that he died so young, this guy genuinely had an incredible career ahead of him - who knows what sort of stuff he could have come up with?

My vote goes for Last Goodbye
    Conversations getting dull
There's a constant ringing in my ears
Sense of humor's void and numb
    And I'm bored to tears.......

Grace will always be the sentimental favorite, but here lately I can't get enough of How Long Will it Take.

I also love his covers - Lilac Wine, We All Fall in Love Sometimes and I Know it's Over.

    Grace
“Life is life everywhere. Life is in ourselves and not outside us. There will be men beside me, and the important thing is to be a man among men and to remain a man always, whatever the misfortunes, not to despair and not to fall - that is the aim of life, that is its purpose.”

    Although it's probably preditable... Hallelujah.

BUT! because it's written by Leonard Cohen and not officially a Jeff Buckley song (:p) I'm gonna have to say.... Last Goodbye :)
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
