wow, haven't seen these guys mentioned anywhere in awhile. I really like their first two, 'Out of the Silent Planet' and 'Gretchen Goes To Nebraska'.

Get their new one, Ogre Tones, next. I have most of them and the early ones are great but the production suffers. Tape Head is cool because it's songs written a long time ago and redone today. Mr. Bulbous is great and so is Manic Moonlight. Ear Candy...I can't really get into that one. Dogman is good and you have that one. Kings X is good but as I said the production isn't as good. Faith Hope Love is really good and Gretchen is awesome...I wish they would remaster these records. Clean them up somehow. Out of the Silent Planet is a great one as well.

I do not own anything of theirs, but I have gone with my brother in law to see them 3 times. Probably going to go again this spring when they play in NJ. They are a very tight band and sound great live.

just got home from my first king's x show. it was bloody spectacular! excellent playing by all three of them and tremendous vocals.

...and i love the intensity of the 12-string bass.
  • Man, bought Manic Moonlight today and love it! Also picked up " Best of" the 3 exclusive tracks. That Tres Mts CD in the Mystery Box reminded me how much I love King's X!
