People not from the UK will probably just ignore this thread, but for those of you who remember the Levellers from the 90's, they ARE still going. Most people write them off thesedays if they even realise they are still around, and while their last few albums haven't been as good as their earlier work, this new album is FANTASTIC.

I urge anyone who ever had an interest in them to listen to this album, it really is a great album. I particularly recommend The Cholera Well, A Life Less Ordinary and Behold The Pale Rider.

Also...please, go and see them live.

I used to know some fans of their's in the early90s, were also big into NedsAtomicDustbin and Teenage Fanclub.
  • The new album will be my next purchase Dave, I love The Levellers as you know. When I was a kid I went through a phase where I drew nothing but variations on The Levellers logo. ;)

I loved the Levellers in the 90's. I was mocked for this by people who liked to call them the Fiddlers!

Last time I saw them live I got headbutted on the lip but it was an enjoyable night. I saw Mark drinking in the pub before the gig too, what a surprise! ;)
Try to tell me that you love me, throw your little punches at me...
  • I just bought this this morning and yep, it's good old Levellers :D Back to the old days. Electric fiddle rocks.
