NIN : Trent self-leaking new album?

A friend sent me a link today.

It said that someone from the NIN gig in Lisbon found a flash drive left in the toilet, which had a new NIN song on it.

The webiste said this:

"found in men's bathroom, stall 4, coliseum, lisbon, portugal
another version of the truth .com

"I went to concert in Lisbon and found a flash drive on the men's bathroom in the stall.
I went home, noticed it had a code and found out that it was part of this game! "

The track is called My Violent Heart. When I have heard it, I will let you know what it's like.

    Listening to the song now. It is VERY different...but I think I like it.

    Apparantly also on the flash drive was a phone number, which, when called, plays a snippet of the song Survivalism from the new album.

    For NIN each album is a FULL ALBUM. I don't want to hear any leaked tracks as it would just lessen the experience the day it comes out. I think Nine Inch Nails is one of the few bands to produce full beginning to finish excellent albums.

    Good story though. I doubt it to be true... (wouldn't someone leak the phone number too?)

    Can't wait for the new one!!!!

    trent has a whole alternate reality game going on with the concept of this album. this is another piece to that game. it's crazy what's going on with this right now.

    The phone number has been leaked. I've heard the clip, but i'm just not posting them.

    I'm suprised by this... when With Teeth leaked, Trent was all pissed, saying that he hates leaked tracks, because they give a bad impression of a song, because they're not complete, mastered versions, and not heard within the context of the full album....

    there's so much more than just the songs...the websites and phone numbers add so much more to the song and the whole foundation to the new album. I can't wait!

    Me, Not Me was leaked yesterday.. it had a second track and if you look at the spectral analysis of the track instead of the usual sound image it had a phone number.. i guess when you call it you get this fucked up message.. all part of this game

    i think its a cool idea.. but mainly for the younguns... i'm more pumped on just listening to the album when its out in its entirety

    a small part of me wanted to hang up. I'm glad I stuck it out though. I'm sure I'll be calling the number back sometime today again. Thank god BYIT is coming out shortly...with that and all the leaks should be enough to hold me over till the album finally comes out.

    Out of the three new tracks I have heard, My Violent Heart is still my favorite.

    Are you going to any of the London shows? I'm going back and forth trying to decide if I should or should I wait and count on them touring the US later this year. There are still tickets to a couple of England shows, but some of the London ones are sold out - do you think I'd be able to get a ticket to the sold out ones if I went?

    I'm going to the first Manchester show on Sunday, and then both Birmingham shows the week after. I bought tickets for the second Birmingham show from ebay for less than face value last week.

    I try to avoid London as much as possible, as I don't like it. I'm sure you would be able to find tickets, but don't trust me on that.
