    Second on the Mars Volta, although I don't think of their music as being that riff oriented. Black Keys make the best riff rock of the last decade or so. You should also check out Black Mountain, Howlin Rain, and the Bevis Frond.

    Seconded. Although I think their debut or 'Untitled' slightly edges the new one.
