    I love the banjo.

    Most of the songs I know with Banjo in them are Alt Country though. Maybe not your taste.
    Cock Fight.
  • Ty Cobb - Soundgarden (there's a banjo in there right?)

    There's also a song on Temple of the Dog that Cornell plays banjo in.. I think it's "Wooden Jesus".

    The intro to R.E.M.'s "I Believe" has a banjo to it. The song is on the great record called LIFES RICH PAGEANT.

  • Guster has a few.... I think "Jesus on the Radio" has one.
    If I could, think I would give in.

    Dont know if there is any difference, but i believe its a mandolin in ty cobb. And if im not mistaken ben sheppard plays the bass equivalent of a mandolin (mandola?). Anyhow, thats song kicks major ass!!!! I was listening to a 95 show where they played it and when i heard those first chords, i cranked it up and jammed out to it.

    Some Who songs;

    Squeeze Box

    Plus some assorted songs on Endless Wire have banjo, even if they aren't solos:

    Unholy Trinity
    Endless Wire

    I can name off the top of my head.

    If Pearl Jam releases a single with descent banjo riffs and solos, it would rock and even those in Nashville would convert to PJ fans.
