For anyone who didn't catch it on the 18th. Show's just how good of a singer the guy is.

I thought his voice sounded very strong and clean during this performance. I highly enjoyed it. Funny how Leno introduced him as best known for VR instead of STP. I guess he's going for the more current info.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

  • Always loved STP, but wasn't such a fan of his solo LP and I really don't like Velvet Revolver (which is upsetting because I REALLY wanted to like Velvet Revolver)...but in any case, the fact is that Weiland is a GREAT singer!

As much as I used to think that nobody out there could do The Doors like Eddie V, when Weiland performed with them for VH1 Storytellers, I was BLOWN AWAY.

And then Scott Stapp fucked up the whole show with a performance stiffer than a cardboard cutout of Mr. Mojo himself.

That was really good... I never knew he was such a versatile singer. Not many rock stars can pull off that style like he did.

Totally. He looks and sounds amazing. Also, I'm a much bigger fan of his classier look, as opposed to that glam rockstar/pornstar look he had going for most of his time with VR.

this was a really cool performance....you know, i like VR and all, but listening to some of the songs on the Army of Anyone record, and imagining them with Scotts vocals.....makes me miss STP a whoooole lot

I agree 100%. VR has no chemistry when compared to STP.

This is cool. I'd like to see Eddie Vedder do something similar. :)

Does anyone know what the other members of STP are up to these days? I wonder if they would ever consider re-forming STP??
