Anyone else a big fan of this cover? Just goes to show you that Singles is the best soundtrack ever! Sometimes I even like listening to this version more than the original, although I never hear too much discussion about it.

Ah!! Thanks bm!! :) I've been itching to get home and get to this thread for hours!!! :)

So anyhoo, Battle of Evermore - The Lovemongers version is just fantastic and I love it!!! LOVE IT!!! :D

And if you love it I can only urge you to do yourself a huge favor and listen to Heart's (same girls! Thanks again soooo much for that bm! ;) ) cover of Led's Rock and Roll!!! It's on their greatest hits album and was recorded live at the Coliseum Seattle in August 1980 and was dedicated to John Bonham.
    NOPE!!!

You know what's weird though, I don't really like Heart - they used to annoy me in the late 70's.

I love Heart. But I'm really not happy with what happened to them in the 80's. :)

Guess it's all just personal taste. :)

Better yet, how about Ann Wilson's duet with Mike Reno from Loverboy? Almost Paradise anyone?!

If I didn't consider the soundtrack to Singles to be the greatest soundtrack in the history of the world I wouldn't like the song all that much. But I really dig it.
  • it's superb.

They do a lot of Zeppelin covers live and all of them that I have heard are excellent.

I think Ann Wison has one of the greastest rock voices ever. Nancy wrote much of the original music in Almost Famous and Elizabethtown. They are two very talented sisters. I loved the 70's version of Heart (Dog and Butterfly years-awesome)and understand the 80's Heart even if I didn't care much for it (it was the time period).

The Lovemongers is just an outlet for the sisters to do what they want with no expectations of "Heart".

The cover they do of "Wild Horses" with Chris Cornell is really good, too.
