Thats rite folks, to me one of Canada's best. Moist was a great band, and his solo albums are amazing. What a great singer, I recomend these albums by him.
-Morning Orbit-David Usher
-Little Songs-David Usher
-Creature-Moist
-Machine Punch Thru-Moist greatest hits

    i love moist...
his solo stuff is pretty decent but doesn't hold a candle to his old band (much like all canadian singers gone solo: jeff martin, edwin, thornley)
..and you will come to find that we are all one mind, capable of all that's imagined and all conceivable
  • I had posted about David Usher/Moist in a Canadien band thread a month ago or so...Moist was incredible...some of his solo stuff is brilliant, but some of it gets too soft (like sappy soft) and poppy for me.

  • Yes i love everything, David does. Moist was great but i feel Morning Orbit is his best work. Now I feel on the comment above Edwin solo is great just as good as I Mother Earth.

Been a fan since the mid 90's - was able to meet Kevin before he went on stage with the band at the Calgary Stampede last weekend - I came equipped with their latest album, Glory Under Dangerous Skies, and a sharpie and Kevin and I made eye contact and nodded at each other. He recognized my intention, walked over and I asked if he'd mind signing the album and getting the others to sign it. He took it from me, headed back into the big tent behind the stage and came back 2 mins later with the album :) HAPPY!!!!! and an incredible show too.

I saw moist open for Neil Young and Crazy Horse in 1996 at the Corel Center.Unbelievable show.I was lucky enough to win front row center tickets from Much Music.I was doing dishes and had called what felt like a million times, never getting through.Finished the dishes and decided to call one more time and they answered and said "congrats". As a huge Neil fan I was absolutley stunned that I won considering it had been about 20 minutes from the time I started calling.Moist put on a great live show!!Got one on Neil's picks as well. What a night!!

Echoing what some others have said here... Really liked Moist back in the day (although I grew bored with each of their subsequent records), and I find his solo work tedious. The only song I was into was "Black Black Heart", which of course had a Jeff Martin connection.
