One of the best performers ever, his Van Halen stuff is amazing. Also his solo cds are great too. He's on tour rite now cant wait to see him.

    He was absolutely amazing in his Van Halen days - incredible frontman. Still had it early on in his solo career.

    Now...????? Don't know... haven't listened or seen anything by him.. haven't been interested either. Shame because I really liked him!

    i saw him in january of '87 on the "eat 'em and smile" tour. tesla opened for him. good show.

    That stuff is cringeworthy.

    He was the man back in the day, and even as recently as the 2002 Hagar/Roth tour put on a great show, largely due to his very good backing band.

    Look for Dave to reunite with the Van Halen brothers(quite possibly without Michael Anthony) in 2007 or 2008 for a cash grab tour, remember where you heard it first.

    After that EVH will strictly record and play with AVH and WVH (Wolfie is slated to work with Dad and Uncle Alex on the next project).

    Saw his first solo tour. Great with Steve Vai and Billy Sheenan(?) in his band. 3 times with VH also. Told the same jokes on 1984 & Eat'em & Smile tours. Definately washed up after VH.

    He needs to reunite with Van Halen. Seems like somewhere i heard Eddie is cool on the idea but now Eddie doesnt get along with Michael Anthony. Who knows if that reunion is ever gonna happen.

    Agreed......very weak in the vocal department.....not consistent in concert....one night balls out fantastic.........the next night too drunk to complete songs.

    Mike is out of the band.........i guess the tour in 04 with hagar was supposed to be without mike but hagar threw a fit.


    Now ed is scoring music for a porno. They are all worhtless except for sammy and mike, at least they seem to be enjoying life and having fun. THe van halen brothers are extrememly bitter about sammy's tequila buisness and Cabo cantina doing so great (they origionally were partners with him but sold).


    fuck van halen, i could write all day about what assholes they are. Loved Ed's guitar playing when i was young and just starting out on gutiar though, was obsesssed for a while.

    Diamond Dave aint washed up no way. He kicking major ass on this tour rite now. People say he a weak singer he is i agree how no Robert Plant. But his singing isnt as bad as some people claim.
