I don't know if "It Aint Like That" or "We Die Young" would translate well in an unplugged show. Then again, Bleed the Freak might have been cool...

yeah but those are songs you could translate to acoustic guitar. how could you play that sludgy "It aint like that" riff on acoustic? ;)

Facelift songs proably didn't work acoustic..
  • It was more of a "hits" and Tripod show I think. All they played from Dirt and Jar of Flies and Sap were radio tunes I believe. Man in the Box might have worked, but would've been weak acoustic without the wah. Facelift wasn't that popular anyway I don't think.
  • hey... i never noticed that. i bet man in a box would've sounded cool acoustic.

I don't Would? was all that great. It was kinda boring compared to the studio version and Layne's weak vocals didn't help. The others I like though, Sludge Factory was surprisingly good.
    Stone Gossard...riffmeister extraordinaire!

I am a man, I am advanced.....I am the first man to borrow Stone's leather pants!

i thought the version of Would was excellent, and Layne's vocals were great. Really brought his vocals to the fore. Great show overall, especially Frogs

Killer Is Me is kind of weak. so is Angry Chair. so is Heaven Beside You.

Cantrell said that there was talk of doing "We Die Young" unplugged but i guess they decided against it.

i thought it was weak on the Tripod album. one of my least favorite AIC songs... right up there w/ I Know Somethin' ('bout You).
