anyone here find corgan's voice as irritating?
their music is great but i just can't stand his voice.

    That was me at first...then I just somehow got by it. I love The Pumpkins now!

    I agree. I love the Pumpkins, but his voice gets on my nerves. I have a hard time listening to them for extended periods of time.

    Yeah Billy's never been an amazing singer and I can completely understand why some people find it annoying, but strangely enough it just doesn't bother me.

    On the contrary, i think his voice is great. It definetely doesn't sound like anything else out there. Maybe that's what i like about it.

    I can't listen to Pumpkins for a long period of time due to his voice, but they are one of my favorite bands. I get where you're coming from...I love it, and am annoyed by it...it's hard to explain. They're fucking amazing...

    i really can't stand his voice but i LOVE the way it sounds on Siamese Dream. thanks Butch Vig.

    i never saw the pumpkins live, so I dont really know what he sounds like there.

    There is no denying he has nasally, whiny voice. But I like it, only grates v occasionall, but I think its the main reason why the pumpkins are on my 'good' but not 'great' list of bands.

    Siamese dream transcends that though and parts of mellon collie.

    Did anyone like Zwan? I adore that record...Settle down is sublime.

    I really like his voice and have always liked their music. But, I understand why people wouldn't like it. Kind of like how alot of people (my husband included) would rather listen to claws on a chalkboard than Tom Waits. I have to listen to him when I am alone.

    I love Zwan. The whole album. I'm not sure why a lot of people don't like it but i thought it was a great departure from SP.
