there's just so many threads about cornell. just wanna know if which cornell is the best?

for me, it's definitely cornell in soundgarden.

i just don't like cornell as a solo artist. i just thought his songs as a solo is just booooooooooooring. pardon me cornell fans.

i love chris cornell as a vocalist. one of the all time greats. but he just needs a band to back him up so that his energy level will be revived. :)

Soundgarden off course, then solo (Euphoria Morning, haven't heard Carry On) and then Audioslave.

soundgarden chris cornell is best by a long way. i know he is older now but i agree his solo stuff is just... tedious.
  • i think this forum should be called "chris cornell and other music"...

i still love him but i'd take that order:

    1. TEMPLE OF THE DOG
    2. soundgarden
    3. solo
    4. audioslave

    1. Soundgarden
    2. EM and TOTD

    3. Audioslave

    4. Carry On

  • should it even be questioned?

cornell was at his best in soundgarden, period.
he also made some great music in temple of the dog. they were an awesome band.
audioslave was all right while it lasted.
i haven't even bothered to listen to his solo work anymore. it's just too sad

I would always say Soundgarden but seeing him support Aerosmith last night was pretty special. He was amazing, even sang Black Hole Sun!

Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!

Audioslave for me, but most of his stuff is pretty good. and Temple of the Dog is probably my favorite single album of his but it's really more of an early PJ demo to me then anything....though Cornell did write all the songs. I like the Rage guys....sue me
