Anyone listened to Jack White's new band -formerly- known as "The Raconteurs", They had to change the name cause some Australian Jazz band had it(I dont remember their present name at the moment).
So, are they awesome or is it that just "Steady As She Goes" video rocks?!

They've only had to change their name in Australia.
    "I am a doughnut." (live - Berlin, Germany - 11/03/96)

"Behave like rock stars - not like the President." (live - Noblesville, IN - 8/17/98)

"Yeah, I was gonna learn to play it (Breath) but somebody slipped me a bottle of viagra and was busy doing something else six times last night" (live - New York, NY - 9/10/98)

I like them better than I do the White stripes.

I still refer to them as The Raconteurs here... I really like their first album and I have to say this but Jack White plus the greenhornes is better than Jack's other band.. I saw the greenhornes earlier this year before jack came in and took over and it was a really fantastic performance.
I'm just flying around the other side of the world to say I love you

The Greenhornes are from my hometown and they rawk. Benson is an incredible songwriter anyway.

Jack White is the most gifted musician of our time, face it.

No way. I like the Raconteurs and the White stripes are OK. But he is most definetly not the best songwriter.

The Greenhornes are way cooler than The White stripes.

jack white is the second most overrated guy in music today.

the first would obviously be dave matthews.

The Raconteurs album is fantastic. My fav. released this year so far. Intimate Secretary and Store Bought Bones absolutely kill. I like hearing Jack playing with other musicians/instruments. IMO i enjoy The Raconteurs better than the Stripes. Although, I do kinda miss White's shit hot geetar playing on the Stripes records. By the way, Six Organs of Admittance new album "The Sun Awakens" is great as well.

Yeah, this album is pretty solid. I love Broken Boy Soldier and Blue Veins the most. I really love the bluesy feel of Blue Veins, that song gets me moving the most.

Even though its not very long, the album is bloody great. I heard store bought bones a few weeks before the release and was hooked on it. I recommend the album highly.
