For the Hip Hop fans on this board.

J Dilla died yesterday. He contributed beats to many, many cuts from A Tribe Called Quest to Common. He just released an instrumental album last week titled "Donuts"

Everyone should take a listen if possible. He definitely had a great sound.

  • Yeah, I heard , man. This is really sad. I have his Welcome 2 Detroit album, and it is simply amazing. Jay Dee really knew other genres other than hip hop and he blended all these grooves so well. I also heard Donuts was recorded mostly in the hospital with a portable studio. That's love for music.

32, man that's way too young.

RIP, we will miss you Jay Dee.

If you can't get high on purely music and the sounds that you hear, you're missing out on something.
