Since it's finally getting warm in the Northwest I thought I'd make a list of my 5 Favorite Summer Albums. No matter when I listen to these records it always makes me feel like it's Mid-July.
1. Ben Harper - Fight For Your Mind
2. Jack Johnson - Brushfire Fairytales
3. Sublime - 40oz to Freedom
4. Common - Like Water For Chocolate
5. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication

Hmm...interesting question
marcy's playground
californication (though there new album looks better)
40oz to freedom
13 songs
matchbox 20
And I won't make the same mistakes
(Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
(And function)
Function is the key
Interesting choices there. I'm with you on the Jack Johnson, Sublime (What I Got is one of the best Summer tunes!) and the Chilis!
I don't think I could limit my choice to just 5 but I'd throw in:
Reef - Glow (purely cos it takes me back to school and lazing about on the field when I should have been taking an exam, oops)
Beck - Odelay
Pixies - Death to the Pixies
Jeff Buckley - Grace (for those summer nights when you're chilling with your mates.. ahhh)
Green Day - Dookie (... again because it takes me back to a great Summer...)
Foo Fighters - Colour and Shape
..god, this is too hard to limit to just 5!!
Am I the only Welsh person here?
Ydych i'n siarad Cymraeg?
2) Audioslave 1st album I like alot. Shadow of the Sun is a great song.
3) Sublime cds are great for a summer vibe but I like there self titled more for the summer.
4)Weezer the blue album I dont know why I listen to that cd alot in the summer. Say It Aint So is classic song to me.
5) Queens of the Stone Age Songs for the Deaf I love jst listening to that whole cd thru. Honorable mention GNR Appetite for Destruction. Paradise City is the all time summer song for me.
I tend to listen to albums I like all the time so these cds might not be what other people think are summer albums

That's a good one too. Reminds me of the summer of 95 I think, maybe 94
Yepp!!
I love him, I noticed his name on the bill for the Jack Johnson show I went to like 2 years ago, and so I bought his cd the day it came out and listened to him like 3 or 4 months before the show!! I was hooked as soon as I heard it...
He's got a new album coming out in June I believe
