So, i went to see the Heaven and Hell tour last night at Jones Beach, NY... the line up was Queensryche opening, Alice Cooper and the headliners Heaven and Hell (Black Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio)....
I was really excited to see this show all summer. I have seen Queensryche many time and am a really big fan of thiers... they played for 35 minutes and only managed to play 3 older songs... i thought their set list SUCKED and they didnt really seem to want to be there.
Alice Cooper who I have never seen, came out and kicked some serious ass..played all of his big songs with a great show...
the headliners, Heaven and Hell, basically came out and played the entire Mob Rules album... Dio sounded great, and the band was tight, but it was from what i expected from a Black Sabbath show.
Bottom line.... ALICE COOPER ROCKS!!

How's Ronnie James' voice live......can't decide whether to pick up the live cd or not.All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.0

sounded good...i guess i was just not as into Sabbath with Dio as i was into Dio solo... or even Dio with Rainbow.
Pick up the CD if you are into it ... should sound great.4/12/92, 8/11/92, 9/28/96, 9/11/98, 8/23/00, 8/24/00, 7/9/03, 4/30/03, 10/1/04, 10/3/05, 12/9/05, 5/12/06, 5/17/06, 5/28/06, 6/3/06, 12/9/06, EV LA 4/12-4/13/08, 6/12/08, 6,19,08, 6,20,08, 6/24/08, 6/25/08, 7/1/08

Tate was not hitting any of the high notes at all... they played about 6-7 songs.. one of which is a cover from their new album of covers... (Welcome to the Machine-Floyd) but i went there to hear some of their older stuff and was dissapointed... i saw Queensryche many times back when they were bigger ... they were much better then..
Alice Cooper not only stole the show.. he ran away with it.4/12/92, 8/11/92, 9/28/96, 9/11/98, 8/23/00, 8/24/00, 7/9/03, 4/30/03, 10/1/04, 10/3/05, 12/9/05, 5/12/06, 5/17/06, 5/28/06, 6/3/06, 12/9/06, EV LA 4/12-4/13/08, 6/12/08, 6,19,08, 6,20,08, 6/24/08, 6/25/08, 7/1/08

I saw em back in the day when they played Mindcrime all the way through. It was real good. I also saw them when they did it again here recently. Played greatest hits for an hour then Mindcrime all the way through. It was good, but you could tell that they have lost a little. All those high notes have taken a toll I am afraid.8-20-92 \ 6-16-08
