Decemberists fans?

I was wondering if any PJ fans are into Decemberists? PJ is and always will be #1, but The Decemberists haved somehow moved into #2, but to me they are a far cry from PJ. I was wondering if anyone else is into them like me. For those who don't know, they are a indie/folk/alt-country/whatever group, but the songwriting is second to none. Very catchy, check them out.

    Well I sleep in the nude so I'm not a big PJ fan. Hahaha
    I love the Decemberists, especially the last two albums.

    They are a riot live. One of the best shows I've ever been to. Real nice people too

    Yeah I saw Colin Meloy solo a few months back, it's amazing how the songs hold up with one acoustic guitar

    Yeah it's a "single" they put out...it's like 20 minutes long...but it's really good. Like 5 songs all in 1 big song. Gotta check it out

    The Tain is an EP they put out, of one "song-cycle."

    It is pretty sweet.

    Is it an E.P. with only one song?
    Why is it called an E.P. then? Sounds more like a single.

    Well it is called "The Tain" but has parts I,II,III,IV,V so it is really like 5 songs..but they all tell the same story...you have to hear it to get it I think. I also think they did it that way so if you download it, you are getting 5 songs for one

    Decemberists are awesome. I saw them live in philly back in Oct. Their new album "Picaresque" is quite awesome. Check it out!

    The Decemberists are a band I've only recently got into. I love Picaresque. I'm waiting for them to tour Australia 'cos I think they'd be real fun to see live.

    yeah the Philly show was crazy, they opened with the freakin Tain...it takes balls to do that...i love the way they switch instruments throughout the song.
