This still stands as the band of the year for me. Oracular Spectacular is just a great album........its catchy and different, something not too many bands can achieve nowadays.

I haven't heard any of their album stuff, but I caught their show at Bonnaroo and gotta say it was great. Pretty heavy at times. I recommend them.

Curious, how many albums do they have and which is good to start with?

Edit: is it pronounced "Management" or "M.G.M.T."

I am putting a compilation together titled 'Indie Pop Bliss' and 'Love Always Remains' will be on it.

    Interesting music.

Makes me want to rock out the keyboard.

Maybe I'll get a 1980's model Casio from the local pawn shop and finally get around to writing my epic "Keyboard Space Opera"

It's pronounced M.G.M.T. and Oracular Spectacular is their only album. I saw a free show of theirs in Brooklyn this summer and it was great, but then they weren't so good when they opened for Beck. They opened (a short set) with a 14 minute song. I heard that longer song the show before and would have much rather heard more stuff from the album that I didn't hear the time before.

This is a band that has all the makings of something that i would usually despise. But.....I love everything I've heard by them. It amazes me.

    Great record!

Their music more than makes up for their terrible image.

Sounds more to me like it's just not your cup of tea. These guys are pretty straight forward pop and extremely unoffensive. Your level of hatred after "hearing" them on Xm radio sounds a bit over the top and very pre judgemental.

I look forward to the day that their one-hit album cycle has run it's course and we've all moved on.
