for me nothing will ever beat wonderwall and the drunken karaoke splendour of champagne supernova
    hear my name
    take a good look
    this could be the day
    hold my hand
    lie beside me
    i just need to say

    Definitely Maybe - Truely great.
(What's the Story) Morning Glory - Great.

The rest - not so much.

Saw them live around 96/97 while they were in their pomp. Fantastic.

  • I haven't read any of the replys so sorry if this is a copy...

    1. Definitely Maybe
    2. Be Here Now
    3. Dig Out Your Soul
    The Masterplan
    4. Morning Glory (I don't know, to me, half the songs are average at best)
    5. Heathen Chemistry
    6. Don't Believe The Truth
    7. Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants
    "I'm a thief, and I dig it"
  • Besides Definitely Maybe and Morning Glory, the catalog isn't particularly notable. Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants has a few decent tracks (that sound much better on Familiar to Millions...i hate the production on SotSoG), Be Here Now and The Masterplan have a few decent tracks too. Need to give Dig Out Your Soul a few more listens, it has yet to really grow on me.

Oasis was the first show I ever went to. It was at Jones Beach with Manic Street Preachers and Screaming Trees in 1996.

My mom got us 2nd row tickets. I was ten. It was awesome.
  • I just got a floor ticket for the Staples Center on 12/4 for $10 less than face value on ebay!

So I'm really gonna brush up on their catalog between now and then, Morning Glory is really the only one that I know really well.

Dig Out Your Soul is great from tracks 1-4, then I feel it really drops off, and nothing excites me after that. That's only after giving it 2 spins, though.

Also, I'll die happy if they play "Love Like A Bomb" when I see them next month. Not a whole lot of love for Don't Believe the Truth in this thread so far, but does anyone else really like this song?
