What a crap song. It sounds like something that would be played in Abercrombie and Fitch. I have given up on this band, Hot Fuss had some good stuff but Sams Town was awful, that compilation was awful with the exception of the Shadowplay cover and I have a feeling this album will be very bad as well.

I enjoyed Sams Town a good amount.

The new single is actually pretty catchy but the chorus lyric is horrendous.
“I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version.”

The Killers have become so different than what I expected after Hot Fuss. Or I should say that I didn't expect The Killers to sound like this after Hot Fuss...I expected slightly heftier music, retro sounding music...not Sam's Town and this latest pop-lite single.

You just never know where the music is going to go.

  • It's like Hot Fuss minus the killer hooks (pun intended).
  • "Human" is ok, but not great. "Spaceman" was great on SNL. That should have been the single they released for this album.

"Sam's Town" was incredible. Aside from "When You Were Young," though, they didn't release the best tracks from the album as single, in my opinion. "Bling" and "This River is Wild" were both excellent.

It's a good single but not as good as When You Were Young.

Loved Hot Fuss, loved Sam's Town even more, looking forward to this one. Hopefully I can catch them in Newcastle in March.

got around to watching that SNL performance. it was good. not kings of leon good, but artists are sounding a lot better on that stage this season. hell, i was even digging Duffy's second song.

does Brandon Flowers look like Matthew Perry or what? hes a weird frontman, very jittery nervous energy up there, but passionate and sincere i find...im liking the killers more and more, dont really know how i feel about admitting that.

I pay very little attention to mainstream music, but I have to say I've liked every Killers song I've heard. Probably not enough to ever buy one of their albums, but I do like hearing one of their singles on occasion.

I saw the first performance on SNL over the weekend (I take it that song was "Human") and despite some odd lyrics I still found the song enjoyable.

Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

I heard it on the radio the other day...

Now, I wasn't expecting to like it since I pretty much dislike every song the Killers have ever released, but that song is absolutely despicable.

This band just gets worse and worse.
