Oasis rules. They love their fans so much they give the lucky ones some of their saliva as souveniers. Way better than the beatles, thats for sure!

I like their music but I'm not a real fan of the band. Saw them live at Roskilde years ago and that was very good.
There is a Pearl Jam connection: in 1996 or 2000 (not sure which one) the arm wrists we got for the pit in the Point in Dublin for PJ said 'Oasis pit' :D.

Can't stand them, over here in the UK they are the football thug's band of choice. Just cause they write catchy music doesn't make it good.

oasis rules noel gallagher is a great songwriter and liam has a great voice there new album rules damm good live too

i think they get a bad rep becos noel and liam act like twats much of the time. but for me, that's just part of the fun. i love them, second only to pearl jam for me. i love a band with a bit of rock'n'roll ego and attitude. grunge kinda made it uncool to act cool, which is bullshit. the fact is, they write great, catchy tunes, liam's voice is top notch, and they're not afraid to fucking rock. their new album is incredible.

im going to see them in indianapolis with my gf on march 23 and i am SO stoked. it'll be my first concert in probably 2 years. imagine... to see my 2 favorite bands in the same year :)
  • I like how at first there was a bunch of stupid oasis hating responses, i think this was posted in the Porch at first, but once it made it here, the real posts started coming in.

Oasis is one of today's best bands, hands down. Noel is extremely talented as both a guitarist, songwriter, and i think he's got an awesome voice. They make some of the catchiest, fun music around, and i'm not sure how anyone can deny that.

And yeah, their new album is one of their best, and one of the best overall from last year.
-one thing to remember, always have a good time, all the time

    Listening to Oasis right now.
    Which came first,
the bad idea or me befallen by it?
  • First Verse

I love many of their songs
although i think they could be a little more creative
instead of using the same style of songs
where the first verse is basically
the same as the second one

a repetition of the first one

yes i too think that if liam and noel kept their mouths shut people would actually listen to the music. but where would the fun be in that.
and besides who said they should have to.

    LOL!!
i think they have not progressed enough for my liking. Definitely Maybe and Dont Believe The Truth sound too similar to one another imho. people speak of the strokes as being stagnant, i think oasis is the epitome of a band hitting a brick wall, a long time ago. and them charging insane amounts for a show in singapore has kinda left a sour taste in my mouth.
