geez man..hits become hits because they're great songs. I just meant that greatest hits vinyls aren't considered real gems by collectors usually. AND it was meant to be a joke.

Well its not like I dont have plenty of albums as well, I didnt say that everything I owned was amazing, hits collections are all I would even need of some bands that I am not really into all that much.

If you like your collection that's all that matters.

I have a very modest record collection and it simply consists of music I want to listen to. I don't think many/any of the albums are worth anything - and I don't particularly care to change that.

You had me impressed until the Wings album came up. You won me back with the Ghostbusters Soundtrack, and then lost me a second time with a collection of Journey and Steve Perry albums.

Ever heard Band On The Run? That is a great record, one of the best after The Beatles split. As for Journey, sure they are cheesy as hell but they got some catchy songs and excellent musicians in that band.

I dont buy alot of new records because most are so expensive but I would love to get some PJ ones, what is the cheapest they might go for?
you don't really see them round for long in my neck of the woods, generally just around the album release, they'll get a couple in but once they're gone that's pretty much it.

they're normally around the full price of a cd here, the most expensive one i shelled out for was rearviewmirror (which i also forgot to list  ) which was about twice as much as a normal cd.

would give my flatmates left nut for benaroya :(

Just started keeping track of my vinyl records (not including the 45's) tonight, I was so impressed after writing them all down that I had to post on here to brag about it. Sorry that they arent in any kind of order, that would take really long but maybe I will get to it someday.

Wow, great collection, so what if there is some dated stuff in there.

My orighinal vinyl collection was all trashed by a psycho ex. I had a red vinyl version of Under a Blood Red Sky and Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I am jsut thinking about starting up again with vinyl, will be from dead scratch.

Dark Side of the Moon is the very first thing I will be looking for.

Anyone know any good vinyl stores in downtown San Francisco. I will be power shopping there in just under 3 weeks time.
    Music is not a competetion.
