Everybody should check them out. I would say its the past new band I have heard in a few years. They are heavily influenced by The Beatles and other 60's bands.

I saw them open for Chris Robinson's band two years ago and really enjoyed them, haven't hear dmuch about them since though.
  • The Redwalls are fucking awesome.

I've seen them 2wice here in Nashville.
They rocked when they opened for Oasis.

Apparently they will be having a new album coming out late summer...early fall.

I've been lucky to get a few of their bootlegs....choice stuff. Awesome live band.

Thanks to pjoasisrule and everyone else in this thread for turning me on to The Redwalls. I will be buying De Nova within the next couple of weeks, but right now I'm wearing out the MP3 of "Back Together". For my own tastes, I wish more of their music sounded like this song. What a f'n amazing song. As it is though, they are a little too retro-rock for me at times, but these days that seems to be the norm with almost every rock band I come across as I could sit down and tear apart their songs just as much I could Wolfmother. But I'll just take it as it is and tap my feet along with the beat of the familiar songs.

Something keeps bothering me though: is "Thank You" a cover? Because that one goes beyond having moments or bass lines or individual parts that seem derivative. The only entire song sounds like something I've heard plenty of times before.

Also, if I've offended with my comments I apologize. My intent was simply to say that they are certainly derivative, perhaps too a fault for some listeners, but I'm learning to just take it all in.

I wonder myself sometimes if some of their choruses have been ripped off. Glad that you like them though. I honestly think they are the best new band since Jet. The De Nova album is quite amazing and it shocks me how they are not popular at all. If they didnt open for Oasis, I might have never even heard of them..........and they are even from a town only 45 minutes away from me. I still have yet to hear their first album but hopefully its as good as De Nova. Do you like the song Falling Down?

  • They are a great band.

You can hear several influences in their music: The Beatles, The Faces, Bowie, Dylan, etc.

I highly recommend seeing them live if you get the chance.
    Awesome live band.
