    Not sure of your guidelines, but pretty much all of those bands formed prior to 2000.

    As for bands still making creative and innovative music today, here goes:

    Judging the criteria, the musician/band has to be active since 2000. Nobody's saying what they did beforehand.

    So, I nominate this guy. I've seen PJ's great gig at Wembley this year, and still ... still.... this man played my gig of 2007, and my music of the millennium/ and before:
