i've seen s-k enough times with pj to know one thing. i really REALLY don't like them. the band is pretty good, but i cannot stand that girl's voice. when she did the hunger strike duet with ed, it was so awful... and when she sang on fortunate son during the 03 tour, i was like, this is seriously terrible...

sorry, i know lots of people on this board are fans, but i'm just not into that girl's voice...

I really like the band. Generally good songwriting and above average musicianship. Their last three records have all been outstanding.

that said, drummerboy is right. Vocals are not their strong suit.

Their vocals are distinctive, sure, but I think they're all the better for that. There are a million and one female singers with pitch-perfect voices out there, and I know Corin Tucker isn't one of them, but damn... her voice is PASSIONATE. And that's the key, really.
Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.
