The Buddy Rich Thread.

Tomorow would have been his 91st birthday and i just want to post some videos to show anyone who doesn't know how genius his playing is. I cant really explain how good he is so you just have to watch this 1 vid.

The funny thing is, that was in 1970 and his kit is so basic and yet he just sounds the best anyone could. Also i know a little bit about the drums but even i just think he is FAST etc, but if you read the comments, people talk about how he does all this really mega technical stuff just perfectly. Im sure some of the drummers of here will know what they are on about.
I'll just leave you with this quote.
"I had a music professor in college named Floyd Williams who used to do Drum Shows with other drummers, Buddy Rich being one of them. Floyd told me that Buddy Rich could play a single stroke roll with one hand in the palm of the other hand and you wouldn't have believed it if you hadn't seen it."
