since the replacement reissues in april ive been listening to mat's/westerberg nearly everyday. somedays at work i just listen to the replacements or paul, and turn off random play. today was nearly 8 hours of replacements for me, not one other band.
this year its been nearly all nin or replacements. those 2 have gotten id guess 75% if not more play. replacements/westerberg are probably at 60% by themselves. i use to be pretty diverse id have an artist of the week or something. but these two have kept my attention and im still not bored with them.
I haven't listened to much Pearl Jam at all lately, save for the 2005 Calgary show which I just recently downloaded. I haven't listened to any of their studio albums in months. Whenever they put out a new record, I'll listen to nothing but that album for weeks, and then I have to put it away and take a break from them.
Mostly it's bands like Wintersleep, The Tragically Hip, the Constantines, the National, and Kathleen Edwards that show up on my stereo every day. Lately I've been on a huge Joe Strummer kick: lots of old Clash and his three albums with the Mescaleros. I also recently bought "The Future is Unwritten" on DVD. By far one of the best rockumentaries I've ever seen.
"I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. With my voice I can sound like a girl, the boogieman, a Theremin, a cherry bomb, a clown, a doctor, a murderer. I can be tribal. Ironic. Or disturbed. My voice is really my instrument."
Tom Waits, Incubus, Dredg, Frank Sinatra, Faith No More, Deftones, Isis, Minus the Bear, Sublime, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Nick Cave, Pixies, Mr. Bungle, etc...
The heart-stopping, pants-dropping, house-rocking, earth-shaking, booty-quaking, Viagra-taking, love-making, the one and only, the legendary E Street Band.

I love music.
I pledge to you a government that will not only work well, but wisely, its ability to act tempered by prudence, and its willingness to do good, balanced by the knowledge that government is never more dangerous than when our desire to have it help us blinds us to its great power to harm us.

Reconnecting to RATM and loving it. Have you guys heard Tom Morello's new music? It sounds like real music! I love it. I've been really into Seether lately and the new Verve album.

I go through phawses of listening to bands. Don't think there's 1 band I'll listen to every single day. The main 3 bands on rotation are Elliott Smith, PJ and Radiohead. i listen to Elliott Smith waaaaaaaaay too much, it's kinda pathetic

All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.
there's too much music to listen to one thing everyday. lately i've been digging bloc party's 'intimacy' (after the initial "WTF is this shit?!"), tv on the radio 'dear science', nada surf 'lucky', sigur ros 'med', in rainbows has been hanging around for a while now too. and ed's version of hurt, sorry ed, but you can't expect me to NOT download you playing that song!

At the moment I can't get through a single day without listening to Jeff Klein (some time member of the Gutter Twins), the guy is simply breathtaking
See These Bones
I just recently started listening to Jeff Klein. I have the Hustler album and I like it a lot. Pity is an incredible song!!
