Nothing yet, but this year I'll get (at the Ottawa Bluesfest)

    Back Door Slam
    Back Door Slam/The Tragically Hip
    Wintersleep
    Adrian Belew/Lucidina Williams/Steely Dan
    Johnny Winter
    Matt Good/James Taylor
    Stars
    Brian Wilson/Kathleen Edwards
    The Black Crowes
    Metric
    Wyclef Jean
    Robert Randolph/Sam Roberts

    Not a bad 12 day run I don't think!

Last year I saw Dylan and Thorogood back to back, then The White Stripes two days later!

I saw Neil Young and Pearl Jam on back to back nights at the United Center in Chicago in 2003. I think any other times I've seen different acts on consecutive nights was at Bonnaroo.

this year i'm going to ladytron/datarock in tampa, then pearl jam in wpb, then pearl jam in tampa, then matt costa in orlando 2 days after that. i'm very excited for that week :D

Me too! I did that in Mansfield in 2003. Neil the first night, PJ the second.

for me, back to back bands on consecutive nights is too numerous to count. however i have done back to back bands on the SAME night. a couple of years ago i went to a JET gig to see the support band-dallas crane- left, caught the bus across town and to see mark lanegan. managed to walk into the venue, grab a drink, take up my usual position on the left hand side of this particular club and then on waltzes lanegan himself. most excellent timing. :D

In 1990 I saw Exodus/Sucidal Tendencies and Slayer/White Zombie on back-to-back nights at Toad's Place in New Haven, CT

In 2006 I saw Farm Aid (Neil Young, Willie Nelson, Steve Earle & Allison Moorer, etc.) in Camden, NJ and The Rolling Stones in Wichita, KS the next night.

I'm thinking about that 6/29 Black Crowes show in New Hampshire. If I go then I'll be seeing shows 4 nights in a row (the other 3 would be Pearl Jam).

I've only seen back-to-back shows once, that was The Finn Brothers at the Royal Albert Hall (29th March 2005) followed by The Dead 60s at the 100 Club (30th). In March last year I saw two in three days (The Shins at the Kentish Town Forum on 28th March, then Barenaked Ladies at Hammersmith Apollo on the 30th).

    All excellent!

Saw Roger Waters and the Who back to back a couple of years ago (MSG and Jones Beach). It was tough, I was hungover the next day after Roger Waters, and wasn't as into the Who show, probably because Jones Beach is a lame venue. The whole place sat down for almost the entire show...

In June 2003, I saw Slobberbone and Neil Young & Crazy Horse on back-to-back nights.

On 12/31/04, I saw Wilco/Flaming Lips/Sleater-Kinney at MSG and then saw the Drive-By Truckers at the Bowery Ballroom.

I definitely had the complete opposites back to back when i saw Bruce Springsteen on March 10th and Justice on the 11th

this year I might be going to the Virgin Mobile Fest right after I see Radiohead at All Points West
PJ at MSG in 2008! Mission Accomplished

The band all knows. We're too afraid to mention.

Too many back to backs to list, so I'll just pick a couple from this year. March 29, 2008, Bruce Springsteen ( Key Arena) backed with -X- at The Showbox on March 30. Los Lobos, Vancouver , April 1, backed with Ed , night 1, Vancouver. June, 2008: REM, Phiily, backed with Pearl Jam, Camden.

Probably the greatest back to back I ever saw happened the same day, July 24, 1968 , when Pink Floyd and then The Who played back to back at JFK Stadium, Philly.

Last April's 2 days of Coachella 2007 were amazing on an indescribable level...

And before going to Coachella I saw The Killers on a Monday April 11th at Staples, then Muse on Tuesday April 12th at The Forum. By the end of Muse's show I couldn't remember one thing of note about The Killers show. It blew my fragile little mind, it was so good.

The Staples Center is too big for The Killers (they're not dynamic enough for a place that size). The Forum could barely contain Muse.
