Just noticed they are playing in Toronto in May, tickets on sale this Saturday. Pretty low key, as I havent heard radio stations mention it.
Anyone else planning on going?

    I saw they were playing then looked at tickets prices. I use to love the Verve back in the day of Northern Soul, but I think I'll wait to buy of Ebay...I can't see tickets selling for more than face value close to the show.

    I saw the verve many years ago, and to be honest they were nothing special live. On the other hand I'd love to hear songs like Life's an Ocean, Stormy Clouds, Slide Away, Come On, amd Velvet Morning live.

    Plus, this tour seems more about making some money then the thrill of playing live music..just my opinion though.

    That's the word on the street in the UK - they still hate each other, but fancied the money.

    I saw them back in the day supporting Oasis. They are not bad, I think it's intersting listening back to some of the Britpop stuff. So many bands with 3 great songs on an otherwise dodgy album that rose from obscurity to fame to obscurity in a matter of about 2 years. There was something in the water back then. They are playing at T in the park this year, so I'll refamiliarise myself with their back catalogue and probably go and see them.

    actually you got me curious..I just checked ticketmaster and its no longer listed. Maybe they aren't playing after all. I found it odd that I didnt hear any news about it.

    So didn't anyone end up buying tix to one of their shows? I'd like to see them in Toronto, but I'm pretty much anti-TM these days unless there's a show I gotta see. I may wait to see how I feel closer to the show.

    Also, what's your take on their live show? I saw them once years ago and wasn't totally impressed, but sometimes it's how you feel and the company you're with that actually has an effect on your opinion of the show, so I may want to give them another shot.
