Just wondering if anyone else enjoys listening to the Marah, a band from Philly that now works out of NYC. They have five albums out now and their best one is the last one they made, "If You Didn't Laugh You'd Cry" is their best one yet. Two brothers, Dave and Serge Bielanko, the two main songwriters and the band puts on a great live show.
If you've never heard of them or want to see more, you can check out this blog here with about 20 videos on it. Enjoy:

yeah, this band rocks ass. i got into em a year or so ago after 'if you didn't laugh' came out. i went to go see one of their shows on a whim and was VERY impressed. probably played a whole in that cd, in fact. i pretty much dig all of their stuff that i've listened to, sans float away. i need to give it a few more spins to be fair. however, float away deconstructed is very cool. 20,000 streets, kids in philly, let's cut the crap, yeahhhh. last time i was in philly for the pj shows last june, i was humming 'east' the entire time, especially when strolling down south street. i've yet to check out the live dvd/cd though... figured it paled compared to seeing the real thing.
There is a lot of videos from the Spain dvd on the blog, but it also comes w/ an excellent cd of live tracks including a great slowed down version of "Tyrone."
They are currently rehearsing songs for a new record. It should be amazing.
Also, the Mariah Carey joke was somewhat funny once. Sloppy seconds are never any good, you know.
