  • I used to be quite into them. Their first 2 albums are great, then they totally fell off...for me anyway. Their talent went with Lajon's hair. When he cut it off, that's when the talent left the band!

But I wouldn't hesitate to buy Home or their self titled...

S/t and Home are great cds too.. animosity and Seasons have their moments, Next is ok too.. but SSDW is still my fav

  • i have the first two albums, and like both of them a lot, especially the self-titled. i saw them once at the house of blues in myrtle beach, around the time their 3rd album was coming out i think. pretty intense show, i had a great time.
  • Sevendust are a top band although their guitarist went and joined Dark New Day who are currently kicking all kinds of ass.

Forgot I had Sevendust!! I've got Home, which I think is the first album. Just went and hunted it out of the drawer and put it on. I used to play this album all the time! Yeah, I like them. But I guess forgetting all about them isn't the best advertising right? :)
    NOPE!!!

  • I never used to be a fan of them, but I just saw them live at the HOB the other night and they put on an awesome show.

They're really cool guys too, actually.
    I'll cut you in.
  • "Animosity" and "Seasons" were fantastic, Clint then left the band. Hearing the cd "Next" and now "Alpha", clearly he was the root of that band. The songs they have on MySpace are approaching terrible.
The Official Matt Cameron appreciation signature!
  • Animosity is my fav, and IMO their best album.

I have Home and Seasons too. Home is really hit and miss (although Denial totally rocks) and I feel the songwriting on Seasons really starts the downward slide.

Lajon is one of the most underrated singers in rock & metal.

just saw them here in St. Louis last night at Pop's and man do these guys still kick ass after all these years and their new cd Alpha is some harder rock from their previous efforts, a really good cd, so get it and check it out if you can and if you get a chance to see them live do it

I see them every time they come to Phoenix. Next show will be my fifth time seeing them. Was lucky enough to meet Morgan, John and Sonny at NAMM this year and they were all incredibly nice too...

Great band. My personal favorite record of theirs is Animosity: Praise, Trust, Live Again, Angel's Son, Follow.... great songs...

And as a drummer, I am a HUGE fan of Morgan's playing and his visual style. I can't stop watching him when I go to their live shows.

Alpha is an amazing release. Best release of 2007 so far. There are some hard-hitting cuts, and Burn is epic.

I'm catching their show next weekend in Seattle.
