Any European U2 fans in here?

I have a question for any U2 fans who may have caught them in Europe on the last tour. I noticed in the setlists that "Vertigo" was listed twice. Once at the beginning and again at the end. What exaclty was the deal?

    well' I am American , but they did that a few times on this currently interupted tour . They did it more then once, here at their stops at NYCs Madison Square Garden.
    Bono went on about the word encore and it meant repeating the song already played.

    i dunno,..

    i liked it the first time it happened, with al;l the lights and all ,...but after that it kinda got annoying . I felt they could be playing a more rarer song in its stead, but oh well.
