Anyone else like these guys? Just got into this band, have been listening to their first CD for a few weeks now(which now has a song in a car commercial).

Anyway, really good stuff....just got the newer CD, and the song "No One's Gonna Love You" is really good.

I actually like Cease to begin more then their first album now.

Very disapointed funeral is in a fucking ford comercial but i won't start on that rant i'll keep it positive.

The band is really cool. They remind me of a mix of my morning jacket and the shins.

Glad others are digging these guys. Check them out live it is a pretty good show.

  • I love these guys!

Have you seen them live yet? I've seen them twice and I'm telling you, do not pass up a chance at seeing them. When Ben Bridwell sings a song live, he hits all the notes exactly as he does on the albums and it's phenomenal.

they are excellent live. very fun and energetic. they were even shit-faced drunk when i saw them last year, but still managed to put on a fantastic show, hitting all the notes and octaves. it's just a good ol' time going to see them live. i'm definitely gonna see 'em both dates in Orlando at the same place as last year. nice and intimate.

by the way, I can't stop play the trio of General Specific/Lamb on the Lam/Islands on the Coast lately. Wish Lamb would have been fleshed out though. Islands on the Coast is easily the best song i've heard in awhile. I just can't find anything wrong with it and I can't stop playing it.

  • Fuck yeah.... I've been to see them live and am going to see them in Memphis. They played the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville in August and gave us a few of the new songs off Cease to Begin. These guys are phenominal.

Cease to Begin is the best album of 2007 imo. I can't get enough of their sound.

When Everything All the Time was still pretty new I listened to a few bits and pieces but I really didn't think this band was for me.

I finally went ahead and bought Cease to Begin after past Christmas (it was a good price!) and I have to say I'm enjoying it. It's a little too far to the plain old alternative rock side for me on most songs, but they're undeniably catchy. I particularly like "The General Specific" and "Marry Song."

I was a little late to the game but I finally got Cease to Begin and freaking LOVE it. I'll get their other one soon enough.
