Any PFP fans here? I wish they would get back together. They made some really good songs in their short time together. Woodstock 94' was a real trip. Someone tell Perry to come back to Earth soon before he gets too old!

  • Perry and Pete play together almost every year at Lollapalooza

Jane's will most likely be back together before PFP, but that second PFP is fucking godlike.

I'll take Perry in any way, shape or form. PFP or Jane's or solo. It makes no difference. I want a small venue tour. For example the Paladium in Worcester, MA would be a GREAT place for Perry to play! I really do not want to travel out to Amherst MA but would do it if I had to.

Did anyone see that Jane's show at the college? Anyone see PFP at the BCN River Rave? I forget what year. I think 1996 or 1997, perhaps even the last river rave until they brought it back this year.

That's what I am talking about!

    Even Satellite Party?

    That shit was fucking awful.

and he toured the hell out of it.

perhaps I extended myself a little too much on that one. Fair point. But you agree with the rest?

PFP was awesome. I managed to see them live in 97 w/ Mike Watt filling in on bass.

I was curious about why this thread got action.

Pets was the only good song I got from them and they are building a whole tour around that?  Did they write some other music that is good that I'm not aware of?

The 2nd album had some good stuff... off the top of my head I recall loving Kimberly Austin & 100 Ways, in addition to Tahitian Moon... having said that, it's not good enough for me to consider seeing them on a Monday night.

Tahitian Moon.  I forgot about that one.  That was the song that repeated the chorus over and over again.  Sounded good but redundant like Into Your Arms or the Fixer.

I'm not a big fan of their records but I always thought this was really cool.  (Sorry I couldn't find a better quality video):

    YES

That song was killer, but wasn't that w/ Navarro & Flea? That was more Jane's than Pyro IIRC.

    Good to know!
I have that performance on a good VHS tape (I taped it the night it was first aired) and it's great to watch.  Yet another good reason to keep a VHS player in the house.  I have tons of stuff from the early 80s through the 90s that I recorded off late night shows and other TV shows.

Saw them a few times in the 90’s and they were an amazing live act. Some of the touring after the 2nd album is right up there with my favourite all time concerts.

PFP and Good Gods Urge have meant a lot to me over the years. Incredibly excited to see these guys live for the first time. Anyone on the fence should just go ahead and get to one of these shows while we can,  before we end up like the dinosaurs…

^^^Just spent the night singing that song after listening to it on my cassette about 10 times. I wrote the opening lyrics down at work,
'Children are innocent, teenagers f..ked up in the head. Adults are more f..ked up. The elderly are like children.'

then erased it. Out of melody and context, it looked like a hate speech to me. They would of shut the place down in the world we live in now...

Great darn song. Talk about a melody stuck in my head.
