What bands do you associate with spring, summer, fall and winter? For me...

Goo Goo Dolls - Spring
Dave Matthews Band – Summer
Mushroomhead – Fall
Sigur Ros - Winter

    Fall - U2

    Winter - Can't think of one specific band that reminds me of winter

    Spring - Pearl Jam

    Summer - The Tragically Hip ... amongst many, many other bands that remind me of cottaging, camping, bbqs, etc.
    No time to be void or save up on life. You got to spend it all.

    For some reason The Cure, particularly Disintegration, has always reminded me of SUMMER, of all things.

    Yeah, you would think it would be Fall or Winter, but i used to listen to the Cure in the dog days of summer ...

    like blazing heat, you get that kind've melancholy (at least, i do) and you feel a bit lethargic and sedated because of it?

    I would drive around smoking lots of ganja, just getting in this melancholy headspace, listening to the Cure with the sun blarin' down on me ...

    ... so it reminds me of summer.

    Shonen Knife - Rock Animals, is another album that puts me in a great summer head space!
    and its excellent for reliving the vibes of summer after it is gone, as well.

    Oh, one more for the summer: JANE'S ADDICTION! Summertime Rolls, baby! :D:D:D Any Jane's though, really.

    Tori Amos will always remind me of Fall\Winter.
    Pearl Jam will always be Fall for me, usualy cause thats when their albums get released.
    For instance i have very vivid memories of the release of Vitalogy when i was 14, and taking the vinyl to school, and just spending endless early fall days lying on the living room hardwood floor spinning that album on my parents record player.

    I guess maybe Ramones for the spring, or early 311, or Operation Ivy, maybe?

    I dunno.
    Why the hell are we trying to match bands to seasons now, anyhow?

    Lots of bands have music that encompasses the moods of all seasons (Pearl Jam, The Doors, Zep, The Hip). Here are some I associate with certain seasons:

    Spring: Explosions in the Sky, The Shins, Feist, eels
    Summer: Dandy Warhols, QOTSA, Grateful Dead, Sublime
    Fall: Tool, Screaming Trees, Mars Volta, Neil Young
    Winter: Elliott Smith, Wintersleep, Kyuss, Soundgarden

    What came to mine immediately is the Byrd's version of Turn, Turn, Turn.
