Whatever Happened To Verbena?

Does anyone remember a great band called Verbena?
They made three very good albums, Souls For Sale (97), Into The Pink (99) produced by Dave Grohl, and Le Musica Negra (2003). Following Le Musica Negra, they even had an excellent appearance on David Letterman and were seemingly a band on the rise but seemed to disapear into the abyss.
The leader of the band was a guy by the name of Scott Bondy.
Anyone ever heard of the band and know if they are still together.
They sort of unfairly got lumped into a Nirvana soundalike category when they really had alot more to offer than just that, not to say that sounding at all reminescent of Nirvana is a terrible thing.
I believe they were from the southern US, possibly Alabama.
Anyone know anything about this underrated and underappreciated band and
what might have become of them?
