Their decision not to play DTE, valid or not (it obviously is in their opinion) has it's effects. People in SE Michigan burn up more gas traveling to venures in Cleveland and Indy. Maybe that offsets their ideals...probably not.

Advertising at venues? Whatever. One could justify just about any reason to exclude any city anywhere. They've gotten this far in their career to call their shots -- great for them.

It is rock music and it's pretty simple - play where the people are. Marketers and corporate waste mongers are always gonna be where the people are anyway.

It would be great if they'd boycott venues that charged concertgoers $5 or more for a f'ing bottle of water...

Thom is fucked off by every little thing. Does anybody really care what he thinks anymore? He's an arrogant twat that, if I saw him in the street, I would punch him in the face and then thank him for the awesome music. It really is too bad that they are so good because I would like nothing more than to ignore them entirely.

i know i always get good value out of thom yorke's words. and dont forget there's no rule that says you have to actually like the musos just cause you like their music. the two can be separated.

and oh my did i tell you how good i think in rainbows is? :D

They are worried that if they spill any drinks on the crowd, Turtle will come on stage and try to punch Thom out. Maybe they could get Jermaine O'neil as a bodyguard.
