  • Well i'm happy for you dude!

I have all of REM's albums and they all kick ass! Give New Adventures in Hi-Fi a listen if you can, it'll blow you away.

i was considering getting new adventures in hi-fi next.
i've heard powderfinger are great live but unfortunately i've never seen them.
i only own vulture street and fingerprints (greatest hits) so i'm a pretty recently converted fan.
have you heard bernard fannings new single wish you well its really good, hes releasing an album called tea and sympathy

Wish You Well is an awesome song.
I reckon you should get Internationalist next or Odyssey #5. Both are amazing and it's when Bernard was writing some really good songs. Vulture Street is a bit wayward lyrics-wise.

p.s. ignore what 'echoes' has to say.

  • I bought (when i say bought, i mean downloaded, lol) In Time in summer '04, not really having any REM beforehand...

and it put me into a HUUUUUGGGGEEEE REM run for about a year. Literally the only band i listened to; older stuff, newer In Time-era stuff, all of it. It was kind of my own mini-music enlightenment, i hope you like the album!

Oh, and it may be becoming cliche to say in this thread, but honestly...my favorite album from the In Time years is easily Hi-Fi. 'Leave' will kick your ass.
