Alright, this is an awesome album...always has been...but the song "The Bends" just seems to get better with age. Or am I plain crazy?

Of course you're not! The entire album is beautiful, and they only get better w/ OK Computer. Of course i'm not saying anything that hasn't been beaten to death but there is no such thing as too much love for Radiohead!!!!!!!

Oh yeah "The Bends" has one of the best build-ups/climaxes of any song ever written.
    Her?
  • Yeah can never get enough of that song or album. I don't know how many times Where do we go from here pops in my head.

  • I just think it's such a jump from Pablo Honey to the Bends.
It's just a great fuckin album, every track is quality, no filler all killer.
Although Ok computer for me is the Bands masterpiece the 90's Darkside but kudos to the bends it's an enormous achievment and makes most british bands that followed seem pointless.

Funny I read this thread today.
I listened to it for the first time, and I am absolutely blown away.
Definitely jumped into my top 5 all time favorite albums.
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.
  • This is probably my favorite Radiohead album but my favorite song from it is "High and Dry". I don't know what it is, I just love that song. "The Bends" is also a great song and so is "Bulletproof...I Wish I Was". I'm fairly new to the whole Radiohead catalog but I must say they have quickly become one of my favorite bands of all time.

"My Iron Lung" is some pretty heavy stuff. You would not expect that from Radiohead."Black Star" and "Sulk" are two very pretty songs melodically. It has ages well, so has OKComputer. I think they the "Hail to the Theif" did not quite reach those albums brilliance.

Black Star is horribly sad, and for that I love it. Street Spirit is one of the best closers to any album too, just amazing.

Bones is probably my favourite song...right now...it really depends on my mood, but seriously, definitely one of the best albums front to back.

If anyone finds a place for me to get this on vinyl, please let me know.
  • I'm going to be hated for this. Always am. But to me this record is at epic proportions, and then Radiohead started going down hill.

  • Great fucking song. Great fucking album.

Everybody goes on about the albums after The Bends, but The Bends is by far my favourite Radiohead album.
