Fuck, I saw TOOL at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland on the 4th and it was amazing...
but it makes you appreciate PJ shows a little more when you know what songs are coming next because the band plays the same set everynight.
that is really annoying...makes it seem like your show isnt special to them, just another night.
I mean, when it comes to TOOL, I kinda understand, coz they have the crazy visuals that need to be programmed and shit, but still, it doesnt make sense to me that on this mini-tour, they wouldnt try out a lot more new material.

Great Show. Average Setlist.

Bring on July...I'm ready for some PJ.

I dont think so man...I think they'll play the same set every night of the mini tour...

...you guys read about Adam leaving the stage for 46 & 2 in Vegas? Someone else played guitar.

    Mike Brady Here,

That's why bands like the Black Crowes and Pearl Jam are so amazing. They have the great music, but the Dead like change of setlists each night. You never know what you're going to get, and that's why people follow these bands. Why follow Tom Petty or any other band when all you need is one show.

    Peace.

funny, I knew every song that was going to be played before it was, and I still loved it. I wish for more new material also, but I still loved what I got. They played faverites, but I'd love to get Flood, Euology, and others, along with Right in Two and Wings pt I & II, hopefully when they come back for an arena tour.

love Tool, but I would never see them live again, they were boring as hell, stage was dark, lights never came up, definatley a completely different vibe than what I'm used to, no one was dancing or having a good time, everyone was pretty much just watching, they sounded amazing though, just like CD, but alot of their songs just sounded the same, PJ blows them away

    wowa you lucky bastard

i so wanted to see them ~
  • Bands with heavy visuals (ie. Tool, Rush, Irom Maiden, etc) tend to play the same setlist every night. There might be one song that will interchange with another.

I wouldn't mind seeing the same setlist twice in a row, i wouldn't mind seeing any of those 3 bands!
  • Tool and PJ shows are two different experiences with the same result.

You get your ass kicked.... in a great mental workout type of way.

Tool- you know what's coming and still can't believe it's so good

Pearl Jam- you don't know what's coming and it's just what you're looking for

I Agree I'd Rather See A Different Set Every Night,i Saw U2 A Couple Of Tours Back And The Set List Was The Same Every Time I Saw Them Would Only Attend 1 Show For The Next Time Out. That Is Why Pearl Jam Has This Following I've Never Seen The Same Set List Even With Back To Back Shows. Going On 20 Shows And Counting.
jesus greets me looks just like me ....
