  • Funeral is great. I've had that in for months. It's a perfect record for winter time too. They remind me alot of The Talking Heads (FUCK YEAH!) and it kills me when Byrne sings with them.
Are you too good to tango with the poor poor boys?
  • i love thme , i bought Funeral back in March and quickly fell in love with their sound, they truly are one of the best bands to come out recently, my favorite song by far is " in the Backseat"
"I Will Scream my Lungs out 'til it fills this Room "

" I Will Feel Alive as Long as I am Free"

"Are We Getting SomeThing Out Of this All Encompassing Trip? Makes Much More Sense To Live In The Present Tense"

  • I'm still thinking about whether or not I should pick this up. I'm not sure if it's really my style and would be worth the money.

I was listening to the local college radio station the other day, and this song was on, and I was truly hooked, I really liked it. Then the DJ came on and said it was by The Arcade Fire. That is the 2nd song I have heard by them that is pretty darn good. This may lead me to pick this up. I assume this their first ?

Technically they released an EP independently in 2003.

I've been listening to Funeral for over a year now and I still listen to it once or twice a week. IMO a definite classic. Saw them live for the first time back in Oct. and it was the second best show I saw this year (PJ was first. der.) Give it a serious chance. Amazing songwriting and musicianship.
E agora? Faz xixi na mão e deita fora!
  • This is definitely an important upcoming band.

Both "Funeral" and the EP are incredible, I've been listening to the Arcade Fire nonstop the past week or two.

I haven't been this excited for a band since...Pearl Jam.

  • Well, after watching their three music videos(loved Power Out video) I think I'm definately going to pick this up early next year. I also liked the Rebellion(Lies) song a lot, or at least it's grown on me.

that's all its needed to say
So that is how I learned the lesson that everyone is alone. And your eyes must do some raining if you are ever going to grow. But when crying don't help and you can't compose yourself. It is best to compose a poem, an honest longing or simple song of hope.
    That is why I'm singing
