All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow
They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.
The Raconteurs - Consolers of The Lonely
Black Crowes - War Paint
Conor Oberst - S/T
Ryan Adams - Cardinology
Jakob Dylan - Seeing Things
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V
Chinese Democracy - Guns N' Roses
In Rainbows - Radiohead (Got the physical version this year, with was available only starting 2008 so I'll count it)
Weezer - Red Album (Deluxe Edition)
Bumblefoot - Abnormal
I actually haven't heard a lot of stuff from this year. This is mostly just the only 2008 albums I've purchased this year.
Thanks EPOTTSIII!

I really want to but the first listen bored me to tears. I bought it yesterday. I'll give it another try tomorrow, but it was a bad first impression.
I hated a lot of the songs upon the first few listens, however it is BY FAR the most played album in my collection (since the beginning of all the leaks, not the release).
It is like a bad car accident, it's terrible, but you can't look away. This isn't the GNR I grew up loving, but I can't stop listening...so i guess i like it

Do listen to it again. I dug it the first time around, but wasn't exactly blown away. But it is one album that sounds better and better every time you hear it. It's definitely not the bluesy, hard rock GnR. But nobody does epic like Axl, and those songs really grow and benefit from his obsessive devotion to every detail.
My list:
Beck- Modern Guilt
Black Crowes- Warpaint
GnR- Chinese Democracy
Gutter Twins- Saturnalia
GZA- Pro Tools
Hold Steady- Stay Positive
Kings of Leon- Only by the Night
Local H- 12 Angry Months
My Morning Jacket- Evil Urges
REM- Accelerate
TV on the Radio- Dear Science
Other albums I enjoyed, but wouldn't rate as highly as the above:
Black Keys- Attack & Release
Cool Kids- Bake Sale
Conor Oberst- s/t
Foo Fighters
Nas- untitled
Oasis- Dig Out Your Soul
Roots- Rising Down
Sigur Ros
Verve- Forth
MMJ - Evil Urges
REM - Accelerate
The Levellers - Letters From The Underground
Metallica - Death Magnetic
KoL - Only By The Night
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
I went for the Fleet Foxes purely by recommendation. I never heard anything by them and after reading reviews I thought what the heck...give it a try. I'm glad I did. The album is incredible. So much like 60's west coast music in Beach Boy harmonies. I love it and play it often.
So after VK's Patriarch's Blues (a definite #1) has to be Fleet Foxes at #2.
