without the dollar signs this is a real ad for DocMartins...
I don't really know what else to say...I am not a fan of his, but still I am speechless, and...sad.

I don't even know what to say any more.
Would Kurt EVER advertise Doc's in real life?
do they need permission to use an image or name? I'm guessing not.....
This is just sad, the way that watching Fred Astaire dancing with a dirt devil vacuum cleaner is sad.
do we really need an advertisement of Kurt Cobain in heaven wearing Doc Martins? I mean if you are going to wear Doc's chances are this isn't a catalyst to the purchase. As a matter of fact, I wear doc martins and I don't think I will wear them for a while...this is just sad.
(link has pics of all 4 musicians)
Saatchi & Saatchi/London has a new print/poster campaign in the U.K. that cleverly employs four dead rock stars – Kurt Cobain, Sid Vicious, Joey Ramone and Joe Strummer – as Doc Martens endorsers.
“We wanted to communicate that Dr. Martens boots are ‘made to last,’” explains writer Andrew Petch, “and we discovered that these idolized musicians wore them. Showing them still wearing their Docs in heaven dramatized the boots’ durability perfectly. And, as images, they feel very iconic.”
As for the legal implications of enlisting the support of this particular fab four from beyond the grave, Petch says the images have been cleared for use in the U.K. only, in an arrangement with Corbis, supplier of the original photographs, which have been enhanced by photographer Dimitri Daniloff and retoucher Christophe Huet.

Not her decision, duh
This is to sell boots, Plus I just think it's in bad taste anyway.
"She fell funny"
"Klaus Daimler, 40, engineer, calm, collected, German"
I also think someone like Joe Strummer, a socialist, would have objected to his image being used as a marketing ploy.
And come to think of it, imagine what Sid Vicious would have thought about all this.
Everyone of those 4 people was anticoporate, political people, who opposed mass marketing and commodification
turns out you were right.....she's still a c@#$ though....:p
