Just listened to this album a while ago, and the more i listen to it the more i realize i fuckin love it. I was worried when it first came out that it would not be even half as good as " Songs for the Deaf " which is one of my favorite albums of all time. But i must say the boys came through cause i think " Lullabies" is amazing album.
Who cares if the world is going down the toilet? Eddie Vedder got his mojo back!

Lullabies is a great album, I like it better than Songs for the Deaf, not as much as R though. Really strong album with some great tracks(Little Sister, Medication, In My Head, You Got A Killer Scene There Man... are my favorites). Really great album, one of my top 10 from last year.

they have yet to put out anything less than a 4.5 (outta 5) star record. One of the best american bands for sure (Flaming Lips and Wilco are 2 more)

Lullabies was awesome for sure! I don't think Homme will ever top 'Song for the Deaf' though, that album had a life of its own! The live cd/dvd was awesome too.
    Which came first,
the bad idea or me befallen by it?

It is a very good album. I think it tapers off a little at the end (except for long slow goodbye which rules), but all in all it is very solid. Someone's in the Wolf is a Jam!

Their debut is fantastic. The least said about the rest of their work though, the better.

My buddy and I are a couple of stoners and there was a period when I'd pick him up and we'd put this album on and blaze. Burn the witch is probably my favorite track. A very solid album from begining to finish.

Just wanted to add that Rated R IMHO is their best album. Although all of them have stand out moments and i think they are all pretty good for what they are.

I really like QOTSA...all of their albums are decent, but personally think Rated R and their debut are their best. I'm in the process of listening to the live album they put out that I borrowed from a friend...it's worth checkin out if you like them.

On a side note I get to see Eagles of Death Metal in a few weeks! Can't wait.

I really love most of Lullabies, but I don't like This Lullaby and Medication very much. For me the album kicks off with Tangled Up In Plaid and just gets better from there.

I did actually cry when I listened and understood
    No one knows
    Go with the flow
    God is on the radio
    Song for the dead
cause they are awfully good organized and composed ("mathematically"?),except "GWtF" then, which was less complicated and easier to listen, and behind that, they have the spirit.
ofcourse "hanging tree","six shooter" and "the sky is falling" are complex too, but that was maybe too much for me.
And "do it again" and "you think I ain't worth a dollar.." are really catchy songs, behind their beauty..
so this what I know about QOTSA;this album, but I liked "little sister" when I saw it on TV, thought it was a cool song. But I'm afraid that I might not get into "Lullabies to Paralyze" reasoning I will compare it to "Songs For The Deaf"..
So can anyone explain-if not too hard- me "Lullabies.." my way?
a "really really good" or "..yea, not better than before" does not really touch me..
"maybe this world is just the hell of another planet.."
