So who out here are fans of Local H, one of the many looked over bands opf the 90's. They were cast off as Nirvana copies but are much better than they are given credit for.

I agree! Local H are one of my all-time favorite bands...not to mention they put on one hell of a live show!

Interesting, I like them and it's all thanks to Nirvana and Pearl Jam as to me discovering them.
I decided to make a cd of Nirvana covers having come across a few already Tori Amos, Sinead O'Conner, Steve Earle anyway I started using a file share programme to search for more to fill the cdr up and Local H popped up with a cover of Breed and a cover of Serve The Servants.
About 6 months later, I was in a cd store in Skegness and they had a sale section where I found the As Good As Dead album for £2.99, I looked at the tracklist and seen the song Eddie Vedder and thought man I have to hear this, been a fan since, picked up a copy of Here Comes The Zoo about a month later.
Can not be arsed with life no more.
  • I saw them open for STP on the Tiny Music tour.

My firend and i had no idea who they were til they played the 'Copesetic' song. I'm not trying to be funny or smart-assed there, we plainly didn't know who they were. We spent the whole set, if i remember correctly, saying things like, "Are there only two of them out there?", "Dude, how are they doing this; i only see two people on stage", and "Whoa, did you see that guy run up from backstage to do a backup vocal then run back?".

They were pretty good, i guess. I don't remember many other opening bands from concerts 10 years ago, so that might say something.

And that is MotorCityMike's Local H story.

Yeah, in London. They were supporting Alien Ant Farm alongside Soil, strangely, and got a short set. I caught them supporting Helmet last year, which was a much better match.

Just got home from seeing Local H in Grand Rapids. I think this was my 5th time.

These guys just plain fucking rock! Easily two of the hardest working people in the business and they consistently tear it up on stage. I will try to catch every single Local H show that I can.
